Yasmin Guimarães defeats Naizi Cantanhede and impresses at LFA 183

RIO DE JANEIRO, RJ, Brazil — On the eve of UFC 301, the LFA kicked off Brazil’s biggest fight weekend of the year with LFA 183. In the main event, international sensation Yasmin Guimarães arrived in the promotion as good as advertised. The Rio native put on a show for her hometown crowd with a dominant performance against top undefeated prospect Naizi “Malvada” Cantanhede. Guimarães handed Cantanhede the first loss of her career when all three judges awarded her the win via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28). In the co-main event, former LFA middleweight champion Lucas Fernando got back to his winning ways against fellow LFA standout João Paulo Silva. Fernando won the bout via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). The other fight results can be found below:
