PRIOR LAKE, Minnesota — On Thursday, January 11th, LFA hosted the weigh-in for LFA 174: Jones vs. Gennrich from the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota. The main event will feature a lightweight world title fight between champion JaCobi “Big Toe” Jones (6-2) and top contender “Machine Gun” Kegan Gennrich (7-2).
LFA 174 will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, who will be joined in the booth by former UFC star and Strikeforce champion Gilbert “El Niño” Melendez. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary will be provided by Brazilian MMA analyst Max Soares. They will call the action live inside the Mystic Showroom at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota.
The main card will be available tomorrow night LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. Tickets are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.com.
JaCobi Jones and Maurice Morris failed to make their contracted weights when they stepped on the scale. They will now forfeit a portion of their purses to their opponents. The main event bout between Jones and Kegan Gennrich will proceed as a five-round main event. Gennrich is the only fighter eligible to win the lightweight title with a victory. LFA 174 will proceed with fourteen bouts, which includes the Lightweight Championship at the top of the card.
