Commerce, California — On Thursday, June 22nd, LFA hosted the weigh-in for LFA 161: Davis vs. Siqueira from The Commerce Casino & Hotel in Commerce, California, which is located in southeast Los Angeles County. The main event will feature a flyweight title fight between top American prospect Cody Davis (7-1) and top Brazilian prospect Igor Siqueira (9-1).
LFA 161 will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, who will be joined in the booth with former UFC star, RFA great, and UFC on ESPN analyst Alan “Brahma” Jouban. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary team will consist of former PRIDE FC star and BJJ world champion Allan Góes and Brazilian MMA analyst Max Soares. They will call the action live inside The Commerce Casino & Hotel in Commerce, California. The main card will be available tomorrow night LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
Every fighter, except Adriano Rodrigues, Alex Arteaga, and Daniel Park, made their contracted weight when they stepped on the scales. Rodrigues and Arteaga missed weight by a significant amount and their bouts with Renato Valente and Issac Thomson have been canceled. Park will forfeit a portion of his purse to his opponent Alex Carrillo. Barrington Bishop made his contracted weight, but his opponent did not. Bishop will be re-booked on an upcoming LFA card. LFA 161 will proceed with seven bouts, which includes the flyweight championship in the main event.
