LAS VEGAS, Nevada — LFA CEO Ed Soares announced today that the promotion will debut in La Crosse, Wisconsin on Friday, July 24th, for LFA 237 at the La Crosse Center.

The event will be headlined by an international bantamweight clash between Bolivia’s Carlos Tardio (12-2) and Brazil’s Mackson Lee (9-1).

Tardio has established himself as one of Bolivia’s top MMA athletes and one of the premier bantamweights in South America. The veteran contender has compiled an impressive professional record while competing throughout the region and now looks to secure the biggest victory of his career in his first LFA main event appearance.

Standing across from him will be Mackson Lee, a Dana White’s Contender Series veteran and one of the most physically imposing bantamweights in the sport. Standing 6-foot-1 tall, Lee possesses a rare size advantage for the division while combining length, athleticism, and finishing ability. The Brazilian standout, who now trains and competes out of Florida, enters his first LFA main event looking to make a statement. A victory over Tardio would place him firmly in contention for a future LFA Bantamweight Championship opportunity.

“After nearly a four year absence, we’re excited to return to the state of Wisconsin and bring an International main event for our debut in La Crosse,” stated Soares.

“Carlos Tardio has represented Bolivia at a high level throughout his career and has earned this opportunity. Facing him will be Dana White’s Contender Series veteran Mackson Lee, who is one of the most unique athletes competing at bantamweight today. At 6-foot-1, he brings a physical profile you rarely see at 135 pounds. This is a very important fight for both athletes that should have major implications in the LFA Bantamweight division.”

LFA 237: Tardio vs. Lee, presented by Monster Energy, takes place Friday, July 24th at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The event will be headlined by an international bantamweight clash between Bolivian fighter Carlos Tardio (12-2) and Mackson Lee (9-1) of Brazil. The main card will air live in the United States on VICE TV at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT, with a Spanish-language simulcast on ESPN Deportes. Internationally, the event will be available via ESPN across Latin America, including Mexico, Brazil, and the Caribbean. Additionally, the main card will air live on Fight Club throughout Russia and the CIS countries—as well as worldwide on the LFA Fight Network™ on YouTube.
