Uran Satybaldiev finishes Bruno Assis to capture the LFA Interim Light-Heavyweight Title at LFA 178

SANTA CRUZ, California — The first LFA event of a busy March 2024 schedule is now an early frontrunner for Event of the Year. LFA 178 went down in beautiful Santa Cruz, California and was capped with a Championship Headliner. In the main event, Kyrgyz National Sambo national champion Uran “Gorilla” Satybaldiev defeated BJJ-Judo-Karate black belt Bruno Assis via TKO after taking the Brazilian’s back and finishing him with unanswered punches at 3:27 of Round 4. The win made Satybaldiev the first Krygyz champion in LFA history as he is now the new LFA interim light-heavyweight champion. In the co-main event, “Jazzy” Jeff Creighton won a back-and-forth showdown with Brazilian standout Miguel Jacob via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-27).
