NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK — On Thursday, November 20th, LFA hosted the official weigh-in for the LFA 223: Francischinelli vs. Piersma from the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, New York.
The sold out event is headlined by a vacant LFA Welterweight World Title bout, featuring two elite rising contenders in the division. In the Main Event, undefeated Brazilian knockout artist Luis Francischinelli (5-0) meets hometown standout Jonathan Piersma (10-3) for the vacant LFA Welterweight Championship.
LFA 223, presented by Monster Energy, will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, joined by former UFC star and UFC on ESPN analyst Alan “Brahma” Jouban, calling the action live inside the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.
The main card will be available LIVE tomorrow night on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
All fighters successfully made weight except Mus’Aib Baiyina and Nikola Kacperska, who missed their contracted limits. Their bouts will proceed as scheduled, with each paying a financial penalty to their opponents.
