LEMOORE, California — On Friday, July 25th, LFA hosted the official weigh-in for LFA 213: Nascimento vs. Jimenez from the Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Lemoore, California, located 35 minutes south of Fresno.
The main event will feature a Bantamweight showdown between Rafael do Nascimento and Arnold Jimenez, two of the most exciting prospects in the division. This bout was elevated to the main event after the previous headliner of Mecate vs Viscode was canceled on Thursday morning. Unfortunately Chris Mecate was forced out of the main event due to a medical concern that required minor surgery. LFA officials are working to rebook Visconde on an upcoming card while Mecate recovers.
LFA 213, presented by MONSTER ENERGY, will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, who will be joined in the booth by former UFC star and Strikeforce champion Gilbert “El Niño” Melendez. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary team will consist of media personality Thiago Pamplona, alongside MMA specialist Tarso Dória. They will call the action live inside the Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Lemoore, California. The main card will be available tomorrow night LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT, following the preliminaries that start at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT.

All fighters successfully made weight, except Naomie Young. The fight will proceed and she will pay a penalty to her opponent. LFA 213 will feature 10 bouts, including the Bantamweight main event at the top of the card.
