PRIOR LAKE, Minnesota — On Thursday, April 20th, LFA hosted the weigh-in for LFA 157: Croden vs. Cavalcanti from the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota. The main event will feature a women’s bantamweight title fight between top Canadian prospect Melissa “Scare” Croden (4-1) and top Portuguese prospect Jacqueline Cavalcanti (4-1).
LFA 157 will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, who will be joined in the booth by former UFC star and Strikeforce champion Gilbert “El Niño” Melendez. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary team will consist of former PRIDE FC star and BJJ world champion Allan Góes and Brazilian MMA analyst Max Soares. They will call the action live inside the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

Every fighter, except Bobby Lee, Ira Lukowsky, and Santos Verdinez, made their contracted weight when they stepped on the scales. Lee and Verdinez will now forfeit a portion of their purses to their opponents Arthur Estrázulas and Pierre Ba. Lukowsky declined to use the extra time to cut weight and his fight with Quang Le is now off. LFA 157 will proceed with fourteen bouts, which includes the women’s bantamweight championship in the main event.
