Nascimento takes the decision over Kamikubo in LFA 227

VENTURA, California (February 27, 2026) —Legacy Fighting Alliance returned to California for the first time this year as LFA 227, presented by Monster Energy, took place at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, California on Friday night.  The event was headlined by a high-level bantamweight showdown between longtime LFA veteran Rafael “Mulisha” do Nascimento (11-3) and Japanese standout Shuya Kamikubo (16-2-1) with a potential title shot on the line.

Both fighters showed their quality throughout the match as they traded punches with much of the fight taken to the ground.  But it was do Nascimento who had some key strikes as well as a spinning elbow at the end of the fight that brought Kamikubo to the ground.  “Mulisha” tried to finish the match with a potential submission as he had Kamikubo in a rear naked choke, but the round ended before that was possible.  The judges all saw the fight in favor of do Nascimento with a unanimous decision.  The win took his record to 12-3 while Kamikubo fell to 16-3-1.

In the co-main event, Allan Begosso had an impressive outing as a devastating left hook brought Arnold Jimenez down and he finished him on the ground in the second round.  The Brunt Workwear “Hard Work Moment of the Night” went to Mariana Piccolo with her unanimous decision over Zoe Nowicki.  The other fight results can be found below.

The LFA heads back to Chandler, Arizona at the Gila River Resorts and Casinos on Friday, March 13th, 2026.  The main event will feature an exciting flyweight clash between LFA standout Adrian Garcia (10-3-1) and undefeated Hawaiian-born contender Christian Natividad (8-0), in a bout that promises speed, precision, and nonstop action.  Tickets are available now at Ticketmaster.com, and the event will be broadcast LIVE in the United States on VICE TV at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT
