LFA 221 Preview

BRASÍLIA, BRAZIL (November 5, 2025) – LFA 221: CLARK vs. CONSULI, presented by Monster Energy,  will stream live worldwide on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.  We wrap up the last month of our 2025 schedule with the first of 3 events, all with title fight headliners.  This week we stage our 25th event in Brazil at the Ginásio Nilson Nelson in Brasília.

LFA 221 is headlined by a Flyweight Title Fight between Canada’s Shannon Clark (6-1) and Rio’s Bia Consuli (6-0). After a loss on Dana White’s Contender Series, Clark returned to the LFA at LFA 200 in January and unified the 125lb belts with a Split Decision win over Chey Bowers. Clark hails from Alberta and is fighting in her fourth title fight as a Pro. She prides herself on her cardio and loves to move forward. She brings 4 finishes in 6 wins to her fourth LFA appearance. Consuli has won an amazing 17 fights in a row going back to her Amateur Career. She is an IMMAF World Champion and her lone loss as an Amateur came in 2019. Consuli is a striker and she is coming off the first finish of her Pro career. Her title fight at LFA 221 will be her first title fight as a Pro and first appearance on an LFA Main Card.
Also on the Card:
  • After an appearance on The Ultimate Fighter earlier this year, Richard Martins (10-1) returns to take on 27-fight veteran Argemiro Delmandes (18-9). Martins was on Team Sonnen on TUF 33 and lost to the eventual winner Daniil Donchenko in the quarter-finals. Training out of Sao Paulo, he is returning to the LFA Octagon where he is a perfect 4-0. Martins is a striker and has 7 wins via KO/TKO. Delmandes is making his first LFA appearance since LFA 159 in 2023. Originally from Brasilia, Delmandes has been in Arizona training out of Fight Ready. Nicknamed “The Missionary” all 18 Pro wins are via KO/TKO and all 18 wins have come in the first round. Don’t blink in this one, these two have combined for 25 KOs and 22 first-round finishes.
  • Undefeated since joining The Fighting Nerds, Reginaldo Junior (10-1) is back to take on newcomer Natan Mota (8-3). Junior has won 4-straight since switching fight camps. He holds Black Belts in Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu and is 4-1 inside the LFA Octagon. He calls himself a grappler, but he has become well-rounded with 4 wins via KO/TKO and 4 wins via Submission. Mota is coming off a win 62 days ago. Training just outside of Brasilia, he holds Black Belts in Muay Thai and Taekwondo. Mota makes his LFA Debut with a 100% finishing rate (6 KOs, 2 Subs). These two have combined for 16 finishes, 11 of those coming in the first round. 
  • In an all-striker battle, Luan Pedroso (11-4) makes his third LFA appearance against Diogo Sotero (16-6). Pedroso has won 4 fights in a row including a Decision win here in Brasilia at LFA 205 in March. Training in Rio out of Tata Fight Team, he is a Black Belt in Muay Thai and 3-time National Champion in Muay Thai. Pedroso has 5 wins via KO/TKO and 2 wins via Submission and hasn’t tasted defeat since 2023. Sotero is making his LFA Debut and has won 7-straight fights. Training out of Chute Boxe Diego Lima in Sao Paulo, he also has a Black Belt in Muay Thai and ALSO is a National Champion in Muay Thai. Sotero hasn’t lost since 2019 and has won 13 of his last 15 fights. He brings an 87% finishing rate (6 KOs, 8 Subs) into his LFA Debut.
  • After a win here in Brasilia at LFA 212 in July, Lucas Gouveia (6-0) is back to take on young-gun Jean Sevalho (7-1). Gouveia is a striker with kickboxing experience and a Black Belt in Muay Thai. Training with the Bonfim Brothers, Gouveia has 4 finishes in 6 wins and 3 first-round finishes. Sevalho makes his LFA Debut at just 19 years old. Fighting for the third time in 2025, he is coming off the first loss of his career in August. Sevalho has a 100% finishing rate (4 KOs, 3 Subs).
  • We kick off the main card with Middleweight newcomers Gustavo Guilherme (3-2) and Gustavo Sousa (4-0). Guilherme has won 3-straight with a total time of 4:56 after dropping his first 2 Pro fights. He comes from a boxing and sanda background and is fighting for the second time in 48 days. Guilherme comes in with a 100% finishing rate (1 KO, 2 Subs). Sousa comes from a kickboxing background where he has a 28-8 record. He is fighting for the second time in 40 days and in his third MMA fight of 2025. Fighting out of Sao Paulo, he also has a 100% finishing rate (2 KOs, 2 Subs) with all 4 of his wins coming in the first round.
