After our European debut a couple of weeks ago, the LFA makes its debut in Tennessee at the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville on Friday, October 10th this week, bringing the number of states that have hosted the LFA up to 30.

This week’s event is headlined by an International Matchup between Australia’s Isaac Thomson (8-2) and Akbar Islomboev (10-1). Thomson has been fighting for the LFA for almost 4 years. He’s making his 8th LFA appearance, but his 1st LFA Main Event. Training out of Sacramento and Team Alpha Male, Thomson is still only 23 years old. Thomson is a 2-time World Champion in Karate and comes in riding back-to-back wins. Islombev is making his LFA and U.S. debut and has rattled off 8-straight wins. From Uzbekistan, but now training out of Dubai, Islombev hasn’t lost since February 2022. He’s a Master of Sport in Kickboxing and a veteran of the Uzbekistan military. These two are well rounded, but prefer to end fights with their hands, they have combined for 9 KO/TKO wins.

The Co-Main event features a pair of returning welterweights, Raheam Forest (8-3) and Martin Camilo (7-2-1). Forest is returning to the LFA for the first time since LFA 114 in 2021. He trains out of Memphis and is a former college football player. Forest fought on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023, losing to fellow Tennessee fighter Danny Barlow. He’s since bounced back with a 46 second TKO win in February. Forest has 5 wins via KO/TKO and 6 first-round finishes in 8 Pro wins. Camilo is returning to the LFA after a 35 second TKO win in his LFA Debut in April. Camilo is from Uruguay, but trains at American Top Team in Florida under the guidance of King Mo. He makes his second LFA appearance coming off back-to-back wins and he also has a Black Belt in BJJ and 4 wins via Submission.

Also on the card:

  • Nashville’s Dedrek Sanders (9-5) will try to defend his home turf against surging prospect Dzhamal Mavliudov (6-0). Sanders is a 2-fight PFL veteran as well as a U.S. Air Force veteran. From Russia, but now training in Portland, Oregon; Maliudov has finished all 6 of his Pro wins, 4 of them in the first round.
