Visconde Takes the Featherweight Belt in LFA 232

MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut (May 15, 2026) – Legacy Fighting Alliance returned to Connecticut on Friday night for LFA 232, presented by Monster Energy. The event featured the LFA World Featherweight Championship as Brazil’s Erick Visconde faced Uruguay’s Gustavo Pintos in a highly anticipated South American showdown in front of a raucous crowd at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket.

Pintos entered the bout undefeated, but it was Visconde who showcased the more dynamic and dangerous offense throughout the title fight. Utilizing an unpredictable mix of spinning kicks, punches, and elbows, Visconde consistently kept Pintos guessing. Despite Pintos’ toughness and ability to remain standing through the onslaught, Visconde’s striking and aggression proved to be the difference. After five hard-fought rounds, Visconde captured the LFA World Featherweight Title via split decision (49-46, 46-49, 48-47).

The LFA remains in the Northeast as the promotion heads to the Seneca Allegany Event Center in Salamanca, New York for LFA 233 on May 22nd. The event will feature a pair of championship bouts headlined by the LFA Welterweight Championship, where reigning champion Jonathan Piersma (11-3) defends his title against Brazilian contender Diego Bianchini (10-2). In the co-main event, reigning lightweight champion Richie Miranda (12-1) meets top East Coast contender Robert Varricchio (8-1) for the LFA Lightweight Championship.

The main card will air live in the United States on VICE TV at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT, with a Spanish-language simulcast on ESPN Deportes. Internationally, the event will be available on ESPN throughout Latin America, including Mexico, Brazil, and the Caribbean. In addition, the main card will air live on Fight Club across Russia and the CIS countries, as well as worldwide on the LFA Fight Network™ on YouTube.
