NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK (November 21, 2025) – Legacy Fighting Alliance returned to Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls for the final event of the year. In front of a sold-out crowd, LFA 223, presented by Monster Energy, was headlined by a world title bout as Rochester’s Jonathan Piersma, took on Brazil’s Luis Francischinelli for the vacant LFA Welterweight World Title. Twelve other fights on the card ensured Friday night would be full of action.
Francischinelli came into the fight with an undefeated record but fighting in his first title fight. Piersma last fought in LFA 167 where he lost in the main event. Both fighters came out strong but it was Piersma taking the title with a rear naked choke submission in the 3rd round. In addition to the belt, Piersma shared the Performance of the Night honors with Joe Taylor who had an impressive knockout in his light heavyweight fight against Shealor Ladd. Piersma took his record to 11-3.
In the Fight of the Night, Kelton Sneve and Kevin Carrier went all three rounds in their lightweight bout. But, in the end, Sneve got the win with a unanimous decision. The LFA finishes the year with 25 events spanning across nine states as well as Brazil (6 events) and Spain (1 event). All the results of LFA 223 can be found below:
