VENTURA, California (February 26, 2026) — On Thursday, February 26th, LFA hosted the official weigh-in for LFA 227: Nascimento vs. Kamikubo from the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach in Ventura, California. The event will be headlined by a high-level bantamweight showdown between longtime LFA veteran Rafael “Mulisha” do Nascimento (11-3) and Japanese standout Shuya Kamikubo (16-2-1).

LFA 227, presented by Monster Energy, will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck alongside former UFC star Gilbert “El Niño” Melendez, who will call the action live inside the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, California. The event will be broadcast LIVE in the United States on VICE TV, beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

All athletes successfully made weight for the event with the exception of Arnold Jimenez. His bout will proceed as scheduled following the payment of a penalty. LFA 227 will move forward with a full fight card, capped off by the highly anticipated bantamweight main event between Nascimento and Kamikubo.
