TENERIFE, Canary Islands — On Friday, September 26th, LFA hosted the official weigh-in for LFA 218: Makaev vs. Nascimento at the Hotel Punta del Rey in Tenerife. The event will be headlined by an Interim Lightweight Title Bout where undefeated champion Jefferson “Toddynho” Nascimento (11-0) of Brazil defends his belt for the first time against Sweden’s top prospect Baysangur Makaev (7-1).

LFA 218, presented by Monster Energy, marks the promotion’s historic debut in Europe. This landmark event opens a new chapter in LFA history as the world’s leading developmental MMA organization arrives in the Canary Islands — a destination known for its natural beauty, vibrant culture, and passionate fanbase. The international card will feature athletes from Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Portugal, France, Ireland, Brazil, Sweden, Morocco, and the Netherlands.

The event will be called live from the Tenerife Sports Pavilion Santiago Martín by veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, alongside British MMA pioneer and former UFC star, Brad Pickett.

All fighters successfully made weight for the event when they stepped on the scale, ensuring that LFA 218 will proceed with a full lineup of international bouts, capped off by the highly anticipated clash between Nascimento and Makaev.
