Las Vegas, NV — LFA CEO Ed Soares announced a new main event for the promotion’s return to the Grand Casino Hotel & Resort in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on Friday, April 3rd, 2026. This marks the promotion’s first visit to Oklahoma in 3 years, as they bring another high-level night of mixed martial arts action to the Sooner State.
The original main event between bantamweights Micaias Ureña of the Dominican Republic and American contender Xavier Franklin has been scratched . Now, two of the top heavyweight prospects in the U.S. will take center stage as Nebraska’s Nyle Bartling (9-2) takes on Charlie “The Reaper” Cleveland (5-1) out of Indiana.
Tickets are available now at GrandBoxOffice.com, or phone at 405-964-7623. The event will be broadcast LIVE in the United States on VICE TV at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT
“This is a great heavyweight matchup for our return to Oklahoma,” stated Soares. “ Nyle is a former standout collegiate wrestler, who is durable and athletic. Cleveland is an aggressive fighter with very heavy hands. Both are coming off a 3 fight win streak that neither one wants to see end. The fans can expect an action packed main event from two very powerful determined fighters.”
Nyle Bartling wrestled for both Ohio State and the University of Nebraska during his college career. Transitioning to MMA, he quickly rose to the top of the regional scene, earning a spot on season 30 of The Ultimate Fighter. He currently holds a professional record of 9 wins and 2 losses. Now making his LFA debut, Bartling is poised to take the next step in his career.
Standing across from him, will be Charlie Cleveland fighting out of East Chicago, Indiana. Cleveland was also a college athlete as a defensive end in football. “The Reaper” made his promotional debut at LFA 226 in Clarksville, Tennessee. Cleveland needed only just over a minute to earn a devastating TKO victory in the match. The highlight reel finish demonstrated his brutal striking power. He looks to ride that momentum into this match up, and make another statement in the heavyweight division.
