Belakh takes the belt from Pires in LFA 222

MASHANTUCKET, CONNECTICUT (November 14, 2025) – Legacy Fighting Alliance returned to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut for LFA 222, presented by Monster Energy.  After an exciting event in Brazil the previous weekend, the LFA was back in the US with another title on the line.  Brazil’s Vinicius Pires was making his first title defense against the challenger, Kazakhstan’s Artem Belakh.  The fight went the distance and was tightly contested, but the judges all decided in favor of Belakh as LFA’s new Bantamweight World Champion.  The win took Belakh’s record to 11-2 while Pires dropped to the same record, 11-2.

In the Fight of the Night, Gustavo Pintos remained undefeated as he took the unanimous decision over Regivaldo Carvalho.  The Performances of the Night went to two fighters on the Preliminary Card.  Adrian Garcia finished Yermakhan Oryntaev with a right hook in the first round of their fight.  Ansar Khamzaev was also quick to take down Edens Charles in an impressive performance.

UFC’s Light Heavyweight Champion, Alex Pereira, was in his sister’s corner on Friday night as Aline Pereira returned to the LFA after a couple of years to take the unanimous decision over Nejra Repp.  The LFA continues its back to back schedule with a trip back to Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino in Niagara Falls, New York for the final LFA event of the year.  LFA 223 takes place on Friday, November 21 at 9PM ET / 6PM PT with another title fight as Luis Francischinelli takes on Jonathan Piersma for the LFA Welterweight World Title.
