SÃO PAULO, Brazil — On Friday, March 27th, LFA hosted the official weigh-in for LFA 229: Martins vs. Gonçalves at the Ibis Styles São Paulo Centro ahead of tomorrow night ‘s event at the Centro Esportivo Pelezão in São Paulo.

The event will be headlined by a welterweight showdown between The Ultimate Fighter Season 31 veteran Richard Martins (10-1) and dangerous Muay Thai specialist Vanderlei “Soul Glo” Gonçalves (9-2).

LFA 229, presented by Monster Energy, will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck alongside former UFC star and MMA Legend Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira, will feature a full lineup of Brazilian prospects and international talent. The event will be broadcast LIVE on VICE TV, with the main card beginning at 9:00 p.m. local time.

All athletes successfully made weight for the event with the exception of Jenilto Matos, Italo Cruz, and João Victor Melo. Their bouts will proceed as scheduled following the payment of a penalty. LFA 229 will move forward with a full fight card, capped off by the highly anticipated welterweight main event between Martins and Gonçalves.
