Natividad remains undefeated with a win over Garcia

PHOENIX, Arizona (March 13, 2026) – Legacy Fighting Alliance was back to one of its favorite states with LFA 228: GARCIA vs. NATIVIDAD, presented by Monster Energy, at Gila River Resorts and Casinos – Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Arizona on Friday night. The main event featured an exciting flyweight clash between LFA standout Adrian Garcia and undefeated Hawaiian-born contender Christian Natividad, in a bout that did not disappoint.

Although both fighters came out swinging, the majority of the bout was on the ground as Garcia was forced to defend repeated submission attempts.  In the end, the judges all awarded the fight in favor of Natividad with all judges scoring 30-27.  The win kept Natividad undefeated and took his record to 9-0 as well as a potential title shot.

In the co-main event, Carlos Tardio came into the fight 4.4 pounds overweight, but Amari Sengsavanh was not able to overcome the striking of Tardio.  All judges scored the bout 29-28 in favor of Tardio.  The Brunt Workwear “Hard Work Moment of the Night” went to the underdog Benny Orozco as he scored a submission win over former LFA Champ, JaCobi Jones.  It was a decisive win for Orozco.  The other fight results can be found below.

The LFA takes a week off before heading to the largest city in Brazil, São Paulo, for the first time in the history of the promotion.  LFA 229 takes place on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at the historic Centro Esportivo Pelezão with The Ultimate Fighter Season 31 veteran Richard Martins (10-1) and dangerous Muay Thai specialist Vanderlei “Soul Glo” Gonçalves (9-2) taking center stage.  The event will be broadcast live in the United States on VICE TV at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
