TENERIFE, Canary Islands (September 27, 2025) – In one of the LFA’s most anticipated events of the year, the promotion made its long awaited debut in Europe with a visit to the beautiful Canary Islands. The card for LFA 218, presented by Monster Energy, had fighters from Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Portugal, France, Ireland, Brazil, Sweden, Morocco, and the Netherlands with an Interim Lightweight Title at stake from the Tenerife Sports Pavilion Santiago Martín on Saturday night.
Jefferson “Todynho” Nascimento, with an undefeated record, entered his first interim lightweight title defense against one of Sweden’s top prospects in Baysangur Makaev. The fight capped off a night with plenty of action as Nascimento and Makaev went the distance in a tightly contested battle. Nascimento came away with the unanimous decision as all judge’s saw the fight in favor of the Brazilian champion. His record moves up to 12-0 while Makaev goes to 7-2.
In other fights of the night, Brazil’s Lucas Almeida continued to impress with a submission victory by rear naked choke over Italy’s Walter Coliandro. Almeida earned Performance of the Night honors and shared it with Manchester’s Daniel Holt who also had an impressive finish with a spinning back kick in the first round of his fight. Fight of the Night honors went to Alvi Dasuyev and Danila Prikaza with an intense back and forth that finished with a Dasuyev flying kick to punches in the final round.
LFA heads back to the States and goes to the State of Tennessee for the first time as LFA 219 opens in Clarksville at the F&M Bank Arena. The night is headlined by a featherweight fight between Isaac Thomson and Akbarjon Islomboev. Thomson is coming off a victory in LFA 213 while Islomboev has impressed in the UAE and makes his LFA debut.
